While virtually everyone in education agrees that American students need to spend more time in the classroom, states can’t ignore the fact that it’s just not in the budget. “Instead of increasing school time, in a lot of cases we’ve been pushing back against efforts to shorten not just the school day but the week and year,” said Justin Hamilton, a spokesman for the federal Department of Education. “We’re trying to prevent what exists now from shrinking even further.”

It was interesting article. Of course financial wealth is an urgent issue for each of us but it should not be an obsession. Now we have to work hours and hours to have the best and the leaders of the country which are chosen by us are those who can change the situation. ReplyDeleteYes, I agreed with author of this article. I think not everyone can afford to go to college. We can't afford to have everyone go to college. Now if only it was possible to have a decent life without going to college we would be set.. Lots of students don’t know what to do because they have to choose between their future career opportunities and getting in debt. Everything wouldn’t be so bad if all the graduates would have a chance to get employed and work on decent job.
